Made from gesso over a wood frame in the late 19th century, this mirror retains its original glass and will make an incredible statement in any room.
This mirror is rather heavy and the frame has a lovely, shabby chic feel.
It measures
45.5 inches tall, and is 29.5 inches wide.
It is in excellent condition, though is extremely old and as such does bear all the hallmarks of time. The heavy glass is cloudy and freckled, and the gesso frame has a number of chips and the crest has been repaired at some point, with cracks still visible - these 'imperfections' authenticate this as a vintage piece and serve to add to the air of faded grandeur.
